IMPORTANT UPDATES FOR NEW LICENSEES

Effective January 2009, OREC has contracted with PSI Testing Centers to administer state licensing exams. Applications Part A & B and fingerprint cards will continue to be turned in to the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission in Oklahoma City. Once you have been approved to test, OREC will notify both the student and PSI that the student has been approved to register for the state exam. Please click here to read the entire document for complete instructions.

Effective January 1, 2008, anyone applying for a real estate license will be required to submit a state and federal background check per HB1006, which was signed into law by Governor Henry in May of 2007. Background checks will be required on anyone wishing to obtain a Provisional Sales, Sales Associate or Broker License whether they are applying as a resident or non-resident licensee. Click here for more details.

Effective immediately due to the passage of HB 1804 all license applicants must complete an affidavit verifying that they have lawful presence in the United States. This requirement is in addition to the applicant completing: 1) the pink selection of Evidence form, and 2) providing actual proof of citizenship or proof of qualified alien status. Please click here to download the affidavit.

All applicants with felony convictions or pending convictions should be aware of the guidelines set forth by the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission. Please click here for more details.
